Members of Love & Opium were responsible for creating two of New England’s most influential musical outfits, including Blind Rhino.

JoeyD Lead Vocals & the driving force behind L&O

His raw and explosive vocal style is both melodic and commanding on cuts such as “Boris”, “Day Trippin’”, “Dope, Sex & Money” and “Bloodflower”. Rarely do you find a voice within this genre of music that crosses such a broad spectrum. Having toured across the states with his former band Blind Rhino, Joey is a seasoned road-dog and an intense live performer.

Danny Damien Guitar

Reigning from the North Shore, Danny’s energy and “in your face” guitar playing make him stand out.  He oozes charisma on stage, keeping the crowd on their fee.  From the first chord played, you know he means business.

Andy K. Drums

Andy K hails from the Boston area. He lives for the stage and the music. Energetic, physical and visually entertaining, he will give his heart and soul to you while performing — always wanting to rock together “For you” and “With you” He lists his influences as “everything”!!

Stryker 4-String Madman & Art Director

Stryker has played a major role in all the bands he has ever been in, including song writing, managing, booking, video production, graphic design, etc etc etc.  He is an absolute supporter and lover of local music and the local scene. Stryker is a bass playing machine with so much energy that if he was 10 years old his doctor would surely have him on Ritalin.  He brings all of this and more to Love & Opium.

Mike Green Guitar, Vocals and Rhythmic Maniac

A true “Metal Head” guitar player, Mike has been playing and gigging for years with both original and cover bands throughout New England while writing and recording originals with area bands.  In Love & Opium, Mike creates a bridge, intermingling lead guitar and vocals with the rhythm section and nailing it down tight!

Lives in: In the hood of New Bedford, MA.

Status: Ball and Chain.

Family: My little man Boris, My fiance Amanda, My daughter Jess, My 2 sisters Rose, and Irene, and my mother The Queen (Irene deMedeiros).

Drinks: Natty Ice ( It’s not just for the homeless anymore!), Heineken, Corona, Cranberry Juice, Gatorade, and Milk… It does the body good!
